Not all screens are created equal. Between OEM, soft OLED, hard OLED, and cheap TFT screens, the quality difference is huge — and it's important to know what you’re paying for.
OEM screens are made by the original manufacturer (Samsung, LG, BOE, Sharp, etc.). These are the highest quality screens available.
Pros:If you want your phone to look and feel brand new, OEM is always the best choice.
Soft OLED is the best aftermarket option for many iPhones. It uses flexible OLED material similar to OEM screens.
Pros:Hard OLED uses glass backing instead of flexible material. It is cheaper to manufacture but easier to crack.
Pros:This is the lowest-quality replacement screen.
Cons:TFT screens are cheap — but you get what you pay for.
